THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Bernhard Langer won the Champions Tours Insperity Invitational for the third time, closing with a 1-under 71 on Sunday for a one-stroke victory over Fred Couples. Langer finished at 11-under 205 at The Woodlands to become the 10th 20-time winner on the 50-and-over tour. The 56-year-old German player also won the 2007 event at Augusta Pines and successfully defended his title in 2008 at The Woodlands. He opened this season with a victory in Hawaii. "Im hoping to add to that number," Langer said. "I hope Im not done yet. Im very blessed to have won 20 times in 6 1/2 years. Its been a great run and a wonderful achievement. I just feel like Im playing some of my best golf in my career." Couples, the former University of Houston player who won the 2010 event, finished with a 67. He won in March in Newport Beach, California. "On a golf course as hard as this, you cant really play relaxed golf," Couples said. "You have to pay attention to what youre doing. I didnt hit enough good shots to shoot a lot lower to catch Bernhard, although I got close to him." Colin Montgomerie was third at 9 under after a 70. His best finish on the tour is second in March in Newport Beach. The Scot had no complaints about his finish. "If youre second, third to Couples and Langer, youre doing OK," Montgomerie said. Esteban Toledo, the winner last year, was 7 under after a 71. Jay Haas and Tom Pernice Jr. tied for fifth at 6 under. Haas shot his third straight 70, and Pernice had a 71. A night later, he was back to help lead a rout of the Detroit Pistons. John Wall had 20 points and 11 assists, and Beal scored 10 of his 15 points during the second quarter as Washington pulled away for a 106-82 victory on Saturday.BOSTON -- The Boston Bruins have two chances to finish off the archrival Canadiens. They are only thinking about the first one. "Its going to be awesome," Bruins defenceman Kevan Miller said, looking ahead to Game 6 in Montreal on Monday night. "This is the biggest game --the hardest one to win. So, we need to be ready." The Bruins won 4-2 in Game 5 on Saturday night to take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series and send the Canadiens to the brink of elimination. Game 6 is Monday at the raucous Bell Centre, with Game 7 back in Boston on Wednesday night, if necessary. "We expect that we are going to have to play our best game yet," Bruins forward Jarome Iginla said. "We know that they are going to try to use their crowd, and we are most likely going to need our best game of the series." The Canadiens swept through the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round and won the first game of the Eastern Conference semifinals in Boston. But since then, the Bruins have regained the form that took them to the Stanley Cup finals twice in three seasons. The Bruins took a 1-0 victory on Matt Frasers overtime goal in Game 4, then came home to speed out to a 3-0 lead. Reilly Smith and Iginla scored power-play goals 32 seconds apart early in the second period to help Boston pull away. "They capitalized on a couple opportunities right at the start of the second period, and that was a tough hole to dig out of," Montreal goalie Carey Price said. "Were going to stay positive. The series is not over yet. Were going home, and were going to bring our absolute best." The Canadiens were in the samee position in the first round against Boston in 2011, winning Game 6 at home before losing the seventh game in overtime.dddddddddddd The Bruins went on to win the Stanley Cup. "Some of our guys have done this before," centre David Desharnais said. "Were in front of our fans and we like the way we play at home." Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban said he thinks his team can do it. "We have enough here. We just have to bring it facing elimination," he said. "I still think that we are in a good spot. We are going back home. Thats the barn, its going to be loud. Its going to be full of energy. We are going to be ready to play, thats for sure." Subban has been at the centre of much of the action so far in the series. He scored the winning goal in Game 1 and has four goals and three assists, and on Saturday night he was the victim of an odd controversy. Bruins forward Shawn Thornton was caught by the TV cameras in the final minute spraying water from the bench at Subban, who had the puck. Thornton was fined $2,820.52 by the league on Sunday -- the maximum allowed under the collective bargaining agreement. Bruins coach Claude Julien said he did not approve of Thorntons behaviour and let him know. Thornton said he got caught up in the moment. Subban also said he would like to move on. "I dont need you guys to make it a big deal out of it," he told reporters after the game. "It is one of those irritating things when youre down 4-2. Listen, they beat us. Thats not the reason why we lost. Its just one of those things that frustrates you even more towards the end of the game." Cheap NFL Jerseys China ' ' '
