PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. Adidas Zx Flux Comprar . - U.S. Open champion Justin Rose thought his ball might have moved. Then he was convinced it didnt. Only after he got up-and-down to save par and looked at the replay on three televisions did he see the slighest movement that came with a stiff penalty Saturday in The Players Championship. The two-shot penalty turned his 71 into a 73. Instead of being five shots behind Jordan Spieth and Martin Kaymer, he was seven shots back. "That was a bitter pill to swallow at the end of a battling day," Rose said. "In some ways, its my own fault for trying to be my own rules official." Rose missed the 18th green to the right and set up over the ball to play a delicate chip. Suddenly, he backed away when there appeared to be movement right after he lightly grounded his club. He called over Sergio Garcia. They watched the replay on a video board. "We both clearly look at the evidence and look at the replay and say, No, absolutely the ball didnt move," Rose said. "But under 50 times magnification in the truck, maybe the ball moved a quarter of a dimple toward the toe of the club. Obviously, if the ball moved, it moved. And I get assessed an extra stroke penalty." Rose was penalized under Rule 18-2b for causing the ball to move at address (one shot), and then an additional shot for not replacing it. He might have been able to save himself one shot by calling for an official to go through the incident. Rose said the grass was soft and uneven, which he thought might have given the appearance that the ball moved. "Ive gone from trying to chip in to make 3 to walking off with a 6," he said of his double bogey. "Disappointing. But in the same way, Im glad now that at least the right decision has been made. The ball moved. Obviously, I made a mistake." Rose was not spared by an addition to the "Decisions on the Rules of Golf" this year (18/4) that would waive the penalty if a ball movement was not "reasonably discernible to the naked eye at the time" and required enhanced technology. The fact he quickly backed away from the shot was evidence that it was discernible. Even so, this took what Rose called "four trucks and different technology" to sort out. Before signing his scorecard, he looked at a replay on NBC Sports and it looked fine. European Tour rules official David Probyn weighed in with some concerns to make sure it was right, and Rose said he went to a second and a third trailer to see different television views "where they really zoomed in." "The movement ... was virtually not visible," he said. It was reminiscent of the BMW Championship last year in Chicago, where Tiger Woods was penalized two shots when video showed his ball moved ever so slightly as Woods was removing loose twigs around it. Woods was adamant that the ball only oscillated, even after video evidence. He was penalized two shots. In both cases, no advantage was gained. But the Rules of Golf require the ball to be "played as it lies." "It has to be the right result," Rose said. "Because if the ball moves — whether it moves an inch, if the ball moves a hair — the ball moved. And Im happy now. My conscience is clear. Ill sleep better tonight knowing that, eventually, the right decision was made." But he wasnt entirely happy. "No advantage gained, and obviously now a big disadvantage, unfortunately," he said about the two-shot penalty. The 1 1/16-mile Holy Bull offers points as part of the Kentucky Derby qualifying system unlike the seven-furlong Hutcheson, both important prep races, however, for 3-year-olds leading to the Florida Derby on March 28. Im leaning toward the Holy Bull, Bluegrass Singers trainer Marcus Vitali said. Im trying to get some points together, and thats kind of my decision. (jockey Javier Castellano) Javiers got the assignment, and those two got along really good last time. I just think weve got to take our chances, hope for the best and shoot for the sky. Bluegrass Singer, owned by Cross Sabres Farm, has drawn post 4 for the 10- horse Holy Bull and the far outside post for the eight-horse Hutcheson. Jockey Rafael Hernandez is listed for the Hutcheson. Bluegrass Singer, with Castellano riding, led most of the way in winning the Mucho Macho Man Stakes at Gulfstream on Jan. 3. I brought him back into the race easy off the last race, being just three weeks between races. I figured hes run so many times and hes the kind of horse that keeps himself fit anyway, Vitali said. It can be kind of a tricky situation when youre pointing for two races. Youve got to train them a little different for either race. I just did my best and the horse responded to everything perfect. Hes coming into the race excellent. Bluegrass Singer has won three of seven starts for $119,835. The 2-1 morning line favorite for the Holy Bull is Upstart, owned by Ralph M. Evans and trained by Richard Violette. The colt will be ridden by Jose Ortiz from post 8 in his 2015 debut. Hes filled out. He was a little big leggy as a 2-year-old. I dont think hes gotten any taller, but theress a little more muscle to him; hes a little bit squarer. Zapatillas Adidas Superstar Baratas. He looks more like an older horse than a baby now, Violette said. Hes pretty sharp and confident, without being mean. He has a really nice eye. Hes pretty correct. Hes a pretty clever horse. Upstart was first or second in his first three starts before getting third in the Breeders Cup Juvenile. Ortiz has been in the saddle all four times as the colt has banked $463,800. He ran a really good second and was kind of up against it in the Champagne. He confirmed his quality and he just got nailed for second in the Breeders Cup despite not having a whole lot in his favor. Hes underlining that hes a significantly good horse, Violette said. Certainly, he belongs in the elite of the 3-year-olds this year, as long as he proves it. Hes more than just a nice New York-bred; hes a nice horse. Also making his 3-year-old debut Saturday will be 5-2 second pick Frosted, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin for Godolphin Racing. The gray colt will again be ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. from the inside post. Hes been training great. Hes doing great, said McLaughlin. Frosted was second his first two starts before winning at Aqueduct on Oct. 30. On Nov. 29 he was second, beaten a half-length, to Leave the Light On in the Remsen at Aqueduct. He ran huge. He had the 13 hole, the track was a conveyor belt, and he was unlucky to lose. Hes a very nice horse, said McLaughlin. Frosted has earned $150,600. Here is the field for the Holy Bull in post position order: Frosted, Irad Ortiz Jr.; Keen Ice, Edgard Zayas; High Noon Rider, Joel Rosario; Bluegrass Singer, Javier Castellano; Juan and Bina, Jose Lezcano; First Down, Rajiv Maragh; Frammento, Luis Saez; Upstart, Jose Ortiz; Dom the Bomb, Rafael Hernandez and Decision Day, John Velazquez. The Holy Bull has an approximate post time of 4:34 p.m. ET. Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
